About the Role
The Strategy and Portfolio Manager will play a critical role in driving value across MTG’s diversified global portfolio of gaming companies. This role involves overseeing strategic alignment, performance optimization, and growth initiatives across MTG's portfolio. As a key member of the portfolio management team, the Strategy and Portfolio Manager will collaborate closely with the leadership teams of portfolio companies, MTG’s corporate team, and external stakeholders to ensure sustainable and profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management and Group Strategy
Group Strategy: Contribute to overall direction of the group and broader group value creation routes
Strategic Alignment: Ensure that portfolio companies align with MTG’s broader corporate strategy and value creation goals.
Strategic Support: Partner with portfolio company leadership to identify opportunities for growth, operational improvement, and market expansion.
Optimization Initiatives: Lead projects to improve efficiency, implement best practices, and unlock synergies across the group.
M&A Support: Actively drive deal sourcing, contribute to due diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition performance monitoring for new acquisitions.
Stakeholder Engagement
Executive Reporting: Provide regular updates and insights to MTG’s executive team and board of directors.
Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact between MTG and portfolio company leadership, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
Networking: Build and maintain relationships with industry peers, analysts, and partners to inform strategy and drive innovation.
Market Analysis and Insights
Industry Trends: Stay abreast of developments in the gaming and entertainment sectors, providing actionable insights to portfolio companies and MTG leadership.
Competitive Benchmarking: Analyze competitors and market dynamics to identify risks and opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Educational Background: At least Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
· Professional Experience:
o Minimum of 2-3 years of work experience from portfolio management, corporate strategy, strategy consulting, investment baking, private equity, or a related field.
o Strong interest and understanding of digital business models, preferably experience from mobile gaming industry
· Analytical Expertise: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial and operational data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
· Leadership Skills: Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
· M&A Acumen: Experience with deal evaluation, due diligence, and post-merger integration is highly desirable.
This role requires a dynamic individual with a strategic mindset, analytical acumen, and the ability to build lasting relationships in a fast-paced environment.
